PRACTICE:  The Law Office of Francis J. McDonough, Jr., PLLC, located in Hollis, is a full-service solo practice dedicated to the area of family special education law matters.  I have been practicing special education law for seven years in New Hampshire. I am knowledgeable and have experience in the entire constellation of special education matters, including advocating for children with disabilities through the individual education plan (IEP) and 504 plan processes; facilitation of parent involvement in the IEP and special education process; eligibility for special education services; educational evaluations and assessments; dispute resolution, including mediation and due process hearings; school discipline as it relates to children with disabilities; the interplay of juvenile justice and special education law advocacy for children with behavioral challenges; and negotiation and settlement agreements.

BACKGROUND: I have been practicing law since 1977 and am admitted to practice in the State and US District courts in New Hampshire. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree (cum laude) at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and Juris Doctor degree at Western New England University School of Law. I have presented on various legal topics at Continuing Legal Credit seminars and client groups. I am a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association.

FEE STRUCTURE: My office provides clients with an initial consultation of up to two (2) hours at the flat rate of $150, as well as the option of billing for special education legal services according to a Flat Fee Schedule, with a fixed price for each service provided.
